INA Linear Technik starts in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

INA Plant 2 begins making clutch release bearings.

INA Plant 2 receives GM Mark For Excellence Award.

Barden becomes affiliated with FAG, and now forms the nucleus of its Aircraft and Super Precision (ACSP) Division.

LuK, Inc. is awarded GM’s highest quality award, the Mark of Excellence.

LuK, Inc. begins building torque converter clutches for the new Ford CD4E front-wheel drive.

INA’s Technology Building on Fort Mill, SC campus is completed.

INA receives GM Worldwide Supplier of the Year award.

LuK, Inc. receives a patent for the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) which is designed for vehicles with manual transmissions. This clutch has the ability to exceed the service life of the vehicle.
1994
LuK, Inc. is the “1994 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year” LuK, Inc. supplies over 50% of all automatic and manual transmission clutches to the Big 3 automakers.
1995
LuK, Inc. becomes a QS-9000-certified company.

To better serve the customer, LuK, Inc. brings all the product developers into one area by adding the 60,000 sq. ft. engineering expansion.
1997
INA Plant 2 completes its’ 5th expansion with 19,000 square feet for grinding of mechanical bucket lifters.

LuK, Inc. builds a 100,000 sq. ft. facility to house the new torque converter business for Allison. Wooster is the first LuK, Inc. location to manufacture torque converters.

INA Bearing Company changes its name to INA USA Corporation.

LuK, Inc. hosts the first international LuK Symposium to be held in the United States.
1999
INA Linear product line moves to Plant 4 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

LuK, Inc. is awarded the 258mm torque converter business from GM.

The Apprentice Exchange Program is initiated, allowing U.S. apprentices to train in Germany for 3 months.

INA Plant 1 begins Finger Follower production.

LuK, Inc. is the first member of the LuK Group to produce a Dry Dual Mass Fly Wheel.
